Carlos J. Giron, M.D. | Founder
Interventional Pain Management Physician
Dr. Giron is the son of Cuban immigrants who was born in New York City. At 14 years of age, his family moved to Miami, Florida where he attended St. Brendan High School and graduated with Honors from the University of Miami. He attended the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa where he earned his Doctor of Medicine and completed Residency training in Anesthesiology and Pain Management in 1996. Dr. Giron then moved to Macon where he founded the Pain Institute of Georgia. He became a pioneer in opening the first Pain Management Ambulatory Surgery Center in the Georgia. He started the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and helped to create the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program.
Dr. Giron is the father of three sons and four dogs. He is an accomplished author, photographer, speaker and an avid fanatic of the University of Miami Hurricanes.
Preston C. DeLaPerriere, M.D.
Interventional Pain Management Physician
Dr. DeLaPerriere was born in Hawaii and raised in Atlanta. He attended the University of Georgia where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. He then moved on to the Medical College of Georgia where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. Dr. DeLaPerriere received his specialty training in Anesthesiology in Augusta at the Medical College of Georgia before settling in Dublin, Georgia. There he practiced Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine from 1995 to 2013 before joining the Pain Institute of Georgia team in Macon.
He is the father of two daughters as well as a stepdaughter and stepson. Dr. DeLaPerriere is an avid golfer, outdoorsman and supporter of the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
Julian M. Earls, Jr., M.D.
Pain Management Physician
Dr. Julian Earls was born in Virginia and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Howard University in Washington, D.C. receiving his Bachelor of Science degree. He returned to Cleveland to attend Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Earls graduated from his Residency training in Neurology and Pain Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
He moved to Macon, Georgia in 1995 and began practicing strictly Pain Management. He joined forces with the Pain Institute of Georgia in 1999.
Dr. Earls is the father of two daughters and a mentor to countless young men in his Church and community. He is a published author, artist and inspirational speaker.
